Rural America's Platform For Change

The idea of developing a new platform was first discussed in 2020 after we educated ourselves about the existing fundraising and petition platforms and websites.

It started with our initial “Save Rodeo in Los Angeles” petition. Using a familiar petition site that begins with a C and ends with .org, support for our initial petition was fantastic, as was the 5-figure total in “chip-in” donations to our cause to help us save Rodeo in Los Angeles—or so we thought.

It didn’t take us long to realize that donors believed they were donating to and supporting Western Justice in our plight, but we soon learned we would never see a dime.

Instead, those donations were going into the coffers of a for-profit organization and being doled out to various groups whose very existence is contrary to rural life and values.  If these funds had gone where donors intended, the beginning of our campaign to save rodeo in Los Angeles would have looked different. There could have been much-needed travel and a media blitz when the fight was fresh in rodeo fans’ minds.

The seed for change was officially planted. Research is a core part of our work, so it didn’t take long for us to realize how deep this financial well actually went.  Other familiar sites are just as grimy in their behind-the-scenes dealings.

Well-known crowdfunding sites donate money to animal and environmental extremist groups and the green agenda. They are effectively advocating a “progressive,” urban-based social movement aimed at eradicating rural America.

This means when tragedy strikes and our big-hearted communities jump into action to support and raise funds for families in need, a percentage of the money donated directly funds the systematic demise of the lifestyles and heritage we hold dear.

It was abundantly clear to us that rural communities needed a way to communicate, raise awareness, crowdfund, and educate each other and lawmakers without using these mainstream platforms, so we created one.

We are proud to present RURAL AMERICA IN ACTION, a platform dedicated to preserving rural America's present and ensuring its future.

Rural Americans designed our innovative and exclusive platform, which allows you to raise funds, create petitions, and conduct surveys safely and securely while supporting an organization that advocates for your interests.

CROWDFUNDING: The convenience fee is less than other sites, so more money goes to fundraiser beneficiaries. The Rural America In Action platform is part of Western Justice 501(c)3, so fees paid support our many initiatives.

PETITIONS: Petition campaigns are great ways to show lawmakers and organizations that a cause has many supporters and to gauge interest in various topics.

  • Chip-in donations made on Rural American In Action Petitions are used as follows:

    • Western Justice or Rural America In Action Petitions – Chip-in donations directly support that initiative.

    • Petitions posted by another user – Chip-in donations will support advertising their petition on social media platforms and will support youth horse and livestock programs through Western Justice 501(c)3.

SURVEYS: Creating and taking surveys on Rural America In Action is easy and fun. They are a great way to learn from and educate others.

USER ACCOUNTS: The platform is free. You need a user account to set up fundraisers, surveys, and petitions.

Rural America in Action is the only web-based platform that ensures your cause will reach rural Americans nationwide while preserving and protecting our Western heritage and lifestyle.

So, next time there is a cause close to your heart, remember that the Rural America In Action platform is here to help you raise funds and awareness.
